Life, Love, and Ladybug

20131117-110309.jpg
This picture has a lot of meaning to me personally. The whole picture represents life. You and I, we are the lady bug, just a dot on the red painted railing of life. As you can see I’m on the red, life is ok right now. There’s no major difficulties or problems. Your ladybug might be in the grey… We all have these grey areas, as you can see there’s some ahead for me as well. But we must always look ahead to the red… The grey does not last forever. Let this image be one of hope for you.

If so, let me know!) Anywho, this picture was taken in Winona Lake during the fall! Can you guess which picture is the original picture? πŸ˜› Let me know what you think of this latest installation! The “El Dorado” Effect

20130202-135715.jpg

Title: The “El Dorado” Effect

Place : Winona Lake, Indiana

Description: Well here is another addition to my color manipulation! This is similar to the picture that I had before with me as the silhouette, but this time it is just the sunset. πŸ™‚ It was a beautiful evening that day and the sunset was amazing! I know some may not like this because of the grey skies, but I love it for the gold ocean below. πŸ™‚ As many of you probably know, the name El Dorado means city of gold. I thought that was a great name for this one. πŸ™‚ Hope you all like this!

Weekly Photo Challenge: Unique

Title: Weekly Photo Challenge: Unique

Place: Winona Lake, Indiana

Description: alright, so when I was looking through my pictures for something that was unique, it didn’t take me too long to realize that this is the picture I was going to choose. I love snowflakes… They are so beautiful and wonderful! Just watching thousands of them fall from the sky in a wintery blizzard is amazing to see. (But horrible to walk through…) However, for me, even the blizzard doesn’t compare to the beauty and uniqueness of the snowflake on a micro level. I really love this picture despite the fact that it is a little blurry. Hope you guys enjoy it as well!

A Silhouette Of Grey

20130131-223805.jpg

Title: A Silhouette Of Grey

Place: Winona Lake, Indiana

Description: alright so I tried something new with my color selection app on my iPad. First of all, this was a sweet picture that I took with my fiancΓ©e while it was fall. The original version of this tree is bright orange and looks really nice (don’t worry, someday I will post that one too) but I thought it looked really cool to just show the blue background and leave the foreground grey. Lt me know what you think about this idea and color selection πŸ™‚ I would love to hear some honest input!

The Wondrous Falls

Place: Niagara Falls, New York

Description: Not too much to say about this one. πŸ™‚ Except that this is taken pretty much from the exact place that Gabrielle and I got engaged which is SWEET! I love her a lot. πŸ˜‰ Anyway, Today is a busy day and I gotta run! Hope you all enjoy this short but sweet post! πŸ™‚

It’s A Slow Fade

20121218-000246.jpg

Title: It’s a Slow Fade

Place: Winona Lake, Indiana

Description: Well the name for this one is actually inspired by a great song by Casting Crowns. Back in the day Casting Crowns was the biggest contemporary Christian band in the US, but it seems like they have gone behind the scenes now that they aren’t coming out with as much music, but anyway, this song is about the “Slow Fade” of the human condition. It says that people never crumble in a day, and it’s the second glances toward sin and the bad thoughts that invade our mind that slowly turn us down a path that we don’t want to go. Such an amazing song… Here is the link to the song if you would like to listen to it: Slow Fade by Casting Crowns. And below are the lyrics if you would like to read through them, or glance at them while you listen. πŸ™‚

Be careful little eyes what you see
It’s the second glance that ties your hands as darkness pulls the strings
Be careful little feet where you go
For it’s the little feet behind you that are sure to follow

It’s a slow fade when you give yourself away
It’s a slow fade when black and white have turned to grayΒ
Thoughts invade, choices are made, a price will be paid
When you give yourself away
People never crumble in a day
It’s a slow fade, it’s a slow fade

Be careful little ears what you hear
When flattery leads to compromise, the end is always near
Be careful little lips what you say
For empty words and promises lead broken hearts astray

It’s a slow fade when you give yourself away
It’s a slow fade when black and white have turned to grayΒ
Thoughts invade, choices are made, a price will be paid
When you give yourself away
People never crumble in a day

The journey from your mind to your hands
Is shorter than you’re thinking
Be careful if you think you stand
You just might be sinking

It’s a slow fade when you give yourself away
It’s a slow fade when black and white have turned to gray
Thoughts invade, choices are made, a price will be paid
When you give yourself away
People never crumble in a day
Daddies never crumble in a day
Families never crumble in a day

Oh be careful little eyes what see
Oh be careful little eyes what you see
For the Father up above is looking down in love
Oh be careful little eyes what you see

Alright if you have made it this far then I will tell you why this picture is named “Slow Fade.” See, this plant is growing outside of my dorm, and this is what it looks like now that it is winter. It is slowly dying, and the original color is slowly fading, but it’s taking a long time. Eventually though, this plant will die… But it will be renewed during the Spring! Oh happy day! πŸ˜› Hope you enjoyed this picture and this post! Thanks for reading!

Thoughts Of A Better Time

20121220-001111.jpg

Title: Thoughts of a Better Time

Place: Winona Lake, Indiana

Description: Ahh…. The title of this piece is important. Thoughts of a better time when the sun actually shines, the flowers are in full bloom, rain graces the earth instead of snow, and the grass is lush and green…. This picture reminds me of those times in the spring and summer! I miss the terribly… Today here in Winona Lake, Indiana is the first day that it has been under 0 degrees with wind chill… It almost made me cry this morning but I stayed strong! And instead went out and bought a winter hat! πŸ™‚ I may have shopaholics syndrome…. Shh it’s a secret! Anyway, hope you enjoy this picture and for those of you who are in the cold like I am I hope this reminds you of times past πŸ˜›

Weekly Photo Challenge: Beyond

Title: Weekly Photo Challenge: Beyond (Originally: “O” Marks The Spot)

Place: Niagara Falls, New York

Description: ENGAGEMENT! Alright, for those of you who have not been following my blog orΒ checkingΒ out my posts, about 4 months ago I got engaged to my gorgeous, beautiful, wonderful, amazing girlfriend, Gabrielle. Now this picture has a lot going on in it. First of all, the ring is the ring I gave her for the engagement! It has a beautiful blue diamond and the infinity symbol going out from it on the sides. The “beyond” part of this photograph is really the interesting part! The part inside of the “O” of the ring is the exact place that I proposed to my fiancee! I proposed on that bridge, which crosses from the Unites States to Canada so that she was on the United States side and I was on the Canadian side! Yay for being in different countries when we got engaged πŸ˜‰ So! That’s the significance of the “beyond” πŸ˜›
