Description: Alright people, this is for those of you who didn’t quite like my last photo 🙂 I decided to get a few of the butterfly pictures I took and put them up for your pleasure! These are completely unedited in all their beauty. 🙂 Oh, and sorry about no post yesterday! Was so busy all day and… Well, it doesn’t help that I don’t have Wifi at home. Ha! Anyway, enjoy!

Not Of This World

Title: Not Of This World

Place: Winona Lake, Indiana

Description: This was a tough photo for me to post. I really love this edit, but I’m afraid others may not like the overexposure like I do. So, let me know what you think! Feel free to be honest 😛 I don’t get offended!

The Glow of My Heart

Title: The Glow of My Heart

Place: Winona Lake, Indiana

Description: This was actually a little art project I decided to do 😛 I saw on the Internet this really cool idea to take glow sticks, break them, cut them open, and pour the contents into a jar. Then, shake vigorously and wallah! You have a night light! However it doesn’t late too terribly long… Thus is why I took a picture for future enjoyment. (and of course to show all of you this awesome idea!) I hope you enjoy this! If any of you decide to try this yourself, please let me know how it goes! Maybe even post a picture in response 🙂 Would love to see all of you in action. Thanks!

“Freedom Is Not Free” by Kelly Strong

I watched the flag pass by one day.
It fluttered in the breeze.
A young Marine saluted it,
and then he stood at ease.
I looked at him in uniform
So young, so tall, so proud,
He’d stand out in any crowd.
I thought how many men like him
Had fallen through the years.
How many died on foreign soil?
How many mothers’ tears?
How many pilots’ planes shot down?
How many died at sea?
How many foxholes were soldiers’ graves?
No, freedom isn’t free.
I heard the sound of TAPS one night,
When everything was still
I listened to the bugler play
And felt a sudden chill.
I wondered just how many times
That TAPS had meant “Amen,”
When a flag had draped a coffin
Of a brother or a friend.
I thought of all the children,
Of the mothers and the wives,
Of fathers, sons and husbands
With interrupted lives.
I thought about a graveyard
At the bottom of the sea
Of unmarked graves in Arlington.
No, freedom isn’t free.

Use this day to remember those who fought to keep you free…

Gems of Beauty

Title: Gems of Beauty

Place: Winona Lake, Indiana

Description: I am very proud of this picture for a few reasons. First of all, this was just a simple picture of the edge of a plaque that sits in the middle of the town, nothing special right? Well I was messing around with color and found out there were stones in this plaque that could be individually changed, and wallah! An hour and a half later I finished my idea for what you see before you! I quite enjoyed editing this one. Hope you all like it as well!

Purity Among Thorns

Title: Purity Among Thorns

Place: Winona Lake, Indiana

Description: This was a photo I captured when hanging out with my friend Steven. We were looking at this row of flowers trying to find one that wasn’t wilting (For their prime was about a week before I took the picture, silly me and procrastination…) Anyway, we found this flower and Steven had the idea to put the flower in the top right of the photo. So I took the picture and it turned out great! And now you all get to enjoy. 🙂 Hope you all like it as much as I do!

A Splash Of Colorful Nature

Title: A Splash Of Colorful Nature

Place: Winona Lake, Indiana

Description: I took this picture just a few days ago while I was walking around town. This was a huge beautiful flower sitting in a little town owned flower bed. I just loved the color so much, so I figured I would take out all the color except the yellow flower. Hope you all enjoy!
