One Ring To Rule Them All

Title: One Ring To Rule Them All

Place: Niagara Falls, New York

Description: Ok, so maybe it’s only one ring to rule us both, but this is the picture of my newly fiancée holding her ring up to the sun. It was such a beautiful day that day, but it was very cold (especially after we got wet from Niagara Falls…) hope you all enjoy this picture! 🙂

A Study of Line and Texture

Title: A Study of Line and Texture

Place: Grace College in Winona Lake, IN

Description: Alright everyone, I’m really stepping out there with this one. This is a short sketch we did in class today of our hand. The instructions were to trace your hand and then use a pen to create different types of texture on each finger and the back of the hand for a total of six textures. In all honesty I thought I was going to hate the assignment. I’m not a huge fan of drawing, and would much rather just stick to my photography, but of course photography is not the only kind of art form, so I can’t do that. Anyway, I ended up loving this assignment and thus decided to post about it here.

What do you think about my drawing? 🙂 Don’t be shy, I know it’s not the best thing out there, and I can take some criticism, so have at it!

Also, what is your favorite texture? I have numbered them on the picture so you can say a number, I’m sure that will make it easier.(Let it be known that if you choose 6 then you are wrong. 😛 That one just didn’t turn out right) 🙂 Looking forward to seeing what you all say!

Thanks everyone!

Along Comes the Night

Title: Along Comes The Night

Place: Niagara Falls, Canada

Description: I’m hoping that this picture gets your attention with both its content and its title because… The story behind it is very sad… Nah I’m just kidding, it’s actually hilarious! Gabrielle (my fiancée) and I were looking at Niagara Falls very closely… Without a poncho… After taking a bunch of pictures we decided to head back but it was too late. The black part of this photo on the left is a wall of water that soaked us to the core! After going the whole day without really getting wet we were kind of sad that we got soaked, but that was alright 🙂 we still had a lot of fun with it haha! Hope you enjoy this story, and the picture as well!

A Growing Fire

Title: A Growing Fire

Place: Niagara Falls, Canada

Description: Well, if you read my last post then you know that I got engaged in Niagara Falls, Canada. Well of course I took hundreds of pictures there while exploring with my beloved fiancée. This is one of the flowers that we found there (well that I found, Gabrielle was on the phone, haha!) it was such a beautiful flower and the edit here just makes it POP! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do 🙂

Weekly Photo Challenge: Foreign

Title: Weekly Photo Challenge: Foreign

Place: American/Canadian Border

Description: Well! This place is special for many reasons! First of all I will explain the foreign part of this picture. Obviously this is the border between America and Canada in Niagara Falls, but the reason why this is so foreign to me is because it is the first time I have stepped out of the United States. However exciting it is for this to be my first time outside of the states, it’s much more exciting for a different reason! This is the exact place my fiancée and I got ENGAGED! 🙂 try that on for size! Ha! Yes. This is where I proposed to my wonderful fiancée with her in America and I in Canada. It was amazing 🙂 hope you enjoy the little story 🙂

The Blood In My Veins

Title: The Blood In My Veins

Place: Winona Lake, Indiana

Description: this was a leaf that I found while taking pictures with my fiancée this week. Such a beautiful leaf with its bright red veins! I loved it so much and knew exactly what I was going to do with the picture. I hope you guys enjoy it as well! 🙂

Title: What Do You See Here?

Place: Niagara Fall, Canada

Description: Alright people! It’s your turn to participate! Everyone knows about the pictures tat psychologists show you and then ask you what you see in the picture, well this is your time to do the same with some pictures I have taken!

Above are two pictures, one in portrait and the other in landscape. It is the same picture, but your perception of what it looks like may change between the two, or it might stay the same. 🙂 If you answer what you think each image looks like I will put your answer in this post for other people to check out as well!
