The “El Dorado” Effect

Title: The “El Dorado” Effect

Place : Winona Lake, Indiana

Description: Well here is another addition to my color manipulation! This is similar to the picture that I had before with me as the silhouette, but this time it is just the sunset. πŸ™‚ It was a beautiful evening that day and the sunset was amazing! I know some may not like this because of the grey skies, but I love it for the gold ocean below. πŸ™‚ As many of you probably know, the name El Dorado means city of gold. I thought that was a great name for this one. πŸ™‚ Hope you all like this!

A Silhouette Of Grey

Title: A Silhouette Of Grey

Place: Winona Lake, Indiana

Description: alright so I tried something new with my color selection app on my iPad. First of all, this was a sweet picture that I took with my fiancΓ©e while it was fall. The original version of this tree is bright orange and looks really nice (don’t worry, someday I will post that one too) but I thought it looked really cool to just show the blue background and leave the foreground grey. Lt me know what you think about this idea and color selection πŸ™‚ I would love to hear some honest input!

Come Lily Come

Title: Come Lily Come

Place: Winona Lake, Indiana,

Description: This picture is a pretty cool one! It was taken a while back when it was still warm outside (wait never mind…Here in Indiana it got up in the 60’s today… so it’s still warm) Silly weather… Anyway, this little lily pad was in a little zen garden near Grace College. The reason for the name is because I sorely wanted this Lily to just pop through so I could get a picture of its brilliance, but I never had the chance… Sad day! Anyway, I still love this picture, and I hope you will too! πŸ™‚

A Study Of Hand Revisited

Title: A Study Of Hand Revisited

Place: Winona Lake, Indiana

Description: Alright, so some of you might remember my post a bunch of weeks ago in December I took a leap of faith and posted a picture of a drawing I did. It went really well I think, it seemed like people enjoyed my drawing. So! With that being said I decided to try it again (actually here is what happened. My professor did not like my other drawing because the project was to use line to show texture in a hand, but used dots and apparently that’s not line!) Anyway, here is my new drawing! Tell me what you think! I would really love to know!

Weekly Photo Challenge: Illumination

Title: Weekly Photo Challenge: Illumination

Place: Winona Lake, Indiana

Description: Alright, so it’s about time that I start getting into doing these Weekly Photo Challenges again! I’ve gone quite a few weeks without them and I miss them! So here in this weeks on Illumination! I was unsure of which picture I should choose for this week. I have a few different ones that would have worked, but I love this picture a LOT! This is an edit to a flower I did on my iPad. The flower is originally white and maroon, but through some editing took and my obvious genius (Just kidding, haha!) I was able to change a few colors and cause the blue so sort of “illuminate” the rest of the flower πŸ™‚ I love it! And I hope you do too!

Seeing The World

Title: Seeing the World

Place: Winona Lake, Indiana

Description: Ha! She probably won’t like that I posted this on here, but I just thought it was so incredibly beautiful! This is the eye of my fiancee and bride to be, Gabrielle. πŸ™‚ I just love how much power is in her eyes, and how different they are from everyone elses πŸ™‚ Also, I love how if you look closely enough you can see the sky and the trees and a building beyond the color of those gorgeous eyes. Let me know what you think! Hope you enjoy this picture. πŸ™‚

Dot Dot Dot… A Study of Hand

20121116-202022.jpgTitle: Dot Dot Dot… A Study of Hand

Place: Grace College, Winona Lake, Indiana

Description: Oh man, I must be honest, I am very proud of this assignment I had to do for my Art Design & Fundamentals class. We were told to create a texture using whatever we wanted to use. So I decided to use dots. With being crunched for time, this probably was not the best thing to do…. But after 5 hours of hard “dotting” I finally finished this assignment! Unfortunately I wasn’t sure of how to do the knuckles on the back of the hand, so they are kind of unfinished… I might go back and fix it eventually. If I do I will be sure to post it on here again! Let me know what you all this! I am excited to hear some feedback. πŸ™‚
