Description: Well here is another addition to my color manipulation! This is similar to the picture that I had before with me as the silhouette, but this time it is just the sunset. 🙂 It was a beautiful evening that day and the sunset was amazing! I know some may not like this because of the grey skies, but I love it for the gold ocean below. 🙂 As many of you probably know, the name El Dorado means city of gold. I thought that was a great name for this one. 🙂 Hope you all like this!
Description: So there’s a few meanings behind this photograph, but before I get to the meaning behind this photograph I would like you to take a look at the bottom of the photograph. You may not have noticed right away, but that stuff at the bottom is actually broken up ice that was all pushed to the shore by the waves. It looked really cool! If you want to check on what that does to the shore stay tuned for my post tomorrow and I’ll show you. 🙂 as for the meaning behind the name. First it has a meaning for me… I have finally come to realize that it is winter since this last week we finally got down to -2 with windchill…. And the second meaning to this photograph is that the birds in this picture have finally come to the realization as well! Since Winona Lake is freezing over now, the geese are out looking for a new place to find water! I bet some are (finally) heading south! Anyway, I hope you like this photo! Let me know what you think! 🙂
Description: Don’t you just love this picture??? Well I do… Mostly because the actual picture was taken by my beautiful fiancée Gabrielle!! She took this while we were both out on a photo shoot, she was using my iPad to capture whatever her heart pleased and I was taking pictures with my professors camera. Lo and behold I love her picture more than mine! The person in the picture is me, and I love how silhouetted I am against the amazing sunset! I also love the edit I did to the colors, if you would like to see what the original looked like just let me know and maybe I can post that tomorrow. 🙂 anyway, thanks for reading and I hope you like this picture by my fiancée! 🙂
Description: Ahh, this was such a serene place to sit on a bench under the willow tree… This picture was taken over the summer and I am posting it now to remind me that it shall not be cold forever! I remember the warmth of the sun and hope for it again. 🙂 But the snow isn’t all bad. 🙂 I don’t have many pictures of it yet, but once I do I will be sure to post some “winter wonderland” pictures for your enjoyment. 🙂 I just have to make sure I bundle up… haha! Anyone else feel the same way about all the snow and cold? 😛 Let me know! Hope you enjoy this post 🙂 5 down only 360 left to go!
Description: ALRIGHT! It is now the NEW YEAR! New year equals new starts and that’s going to be applied to many part of my life this year, this blog included! I am hoping to post one picture a day for this entire year! I hope you all will join me as I try for that. 🙂 Currently I have a bunch of drafts ready for this year, so hopefully on those days that I don’t feel like writing or posting very much I can just post one of those drafts (Yay for lazy blogging! Hahaha, just kidding of course)
Anyway, now lets talk about this picture! First of all this picture was obviously taken from a car annnddd…. even though my fiancee wasn’t very happy about it, I took it with my iPad while driving 😛 This picture was taken quite a while ago (you can tell because if it was taken now there would be a LOT of snow on the ground, haha!) and I was surprised at how well it turned out because like I said I was driving while I took it and… I took it through my car window (which isn’t the cleanest window, by the way) But hey! It’s those times when you get the greatest pictures of all! 🙂 Hope you all enjoy this first post of 2013!! Stay tuned for approximately 364 more! 😛
Description: This picture I took while out on an adventure with Stephen taking some pictures. I loved how the sun was shining through the trees and how much it reflected off the lake. Made the lake look so blue! Anyway, can you find the duck in this picture? 😛 I have no real reason for asking…. Oh well 😀
Quote: This is actually a poem written by Edgar Allen Poe. Enjoy!
The Lake by Edgar Allen Poe
In spring of youth it was my lot
To haunt of the wide world a spot
The which I could not love the less-
So lovely was the loneliness
Of a wild lake, with black rock bound,
And the tall pines that towered around.
But when the Night had thrown her pall
Upon that spot, as upon all,
And the mystic wind went by
Murmuring in melody-
Then-ah then I would awake
To the terror of the lone lake.
Yet that terror was not fright,
But a tremulous delight-
A feeling not the jewelled mine
Could teach or bribe me to define-
Nor Love-although the Love were thine.
Death was in that poisonous wave,
And in its gulf a fitting grave
For him who thence could solace bring
To his lone imagining-
Whose solitary soul could make
An Eden of that dim lake.
Description: this picture was taken when I went out with my good friend Stephen to take some pictures! Some of you might recognize this picture because there is one similar that I uploaded a few months ago, but don’t fret, this one is much different 🙂 it was the perfect sunset and sunlight the evening and these pictures turned out great! I hope you enjoy it!
