Life, Love, and Ladybug

This picture has a lot of meaning to me personally. The whole picture represents life. You and I, we are the lady bug, just a dot on the red painted railing of life. As you can see I’m on the red, life is ok right now. There’s no major difficulties or problems. Your ladybug might be in the grey… We all have these grey areas, as you can see there’s some ahead for me as well. But we must always look ahead to the red… The grey does not last forever. Let this image be one of hope for you.

A Little Older, A Little Better

photo (34)

I’m not sure how many of you followers are still out there, but I’m still here! There’s a lot that has been going on both in the artistic world and my personal world. I’d like to say that I’ve gotten a little better with my photography, and have also picked up some graphic design as well. I also learned to make animated .gifs, so you might see some of those on here as well! But other than that, this post is just to say I’M BACK and ready to roll!

Simply Abstract

Title: Simply Abstract

Place: Winona Lake, Indiana

Description: Not too much to say here. This was a simple little flower I found in town. I hope you enjoy my edit and the flower 🙂

Let There Be Black And White

Title: Let There Be Black And White

Place: Winona Lake, Indiana

Description: There isn’t too much to say about this picture. I was just wondering the town alone and happened upon these beautiful flowers 🙂 I though it would make a great black and white photo because of the contrast of the light flowers to the dark ground! Hope you enjoy!

Not Of This World (Unvamped)

Title: Not Of This World (Unvamped)

Place: Winona Lake, Indiana

Description: Alright people, this is for those of you who didn’t quite like my last photo 🙂 I decided to get a few of the butterfly pictures I took and put them up for your pleasure! These are completely unedited in all their beauty. 🙂 Oh, and sorry about no post yesterday! Was so busy all day and… Well, it doesn’t help that I don’t have Wifi at home. Ha! Anyway, enjoy!

The Glow of My Heart

Title: The Glow of My Heart

Place: Winona Lake, Indiana

Description: This was actually a little art project I decided to do 😛 I saw on the Internet this really cool idea to take glow sticks, break them, cut them open, and pour the contents into a jar. Then, shake vigorously and wallah! You have a night light! However it doesn’t late too terribly long… Thus is why I took a picture for future enjoyment. (and of course to show all of you this awesome idea!) I hope you enjoy this! If any of you decide to try this yourself, please let me know how it goes! Maybe even post a picture in response 🙂 Would love to see all of you in action. Thanks!

“Freedom Is Not Free” by Kelly Strong

I watched the flag pass by one day.
It fluttered in the breeze.
A young Marine saluted it,
and then he stood at ease.
I looked at him in uniform
So young, so tall, so proud,
He’d stand out in any crowd.
I thought how many men like him
Had fallen through the years.
How many died on foreign soil?
How many mothers’ tears?
How many pilots’ planes shot down?
How many died at sea?
How many foxholes were soldiers’ graves?
No, freedom isn’t free.
I heard the sound of TAPS one night,
When everything was still
I listened to the bugler play
And felt a sudden chill.
I wondered just how many times
That TAPS had meant “Amen,”
When a flag had draped a coffin
Of a brother or a friend.
I thought of all the children,
Of the mothers and the wives,
Of fathers, sons and husbands
With interrupted lives.
I thought about a graveyard
At the bottom of the sea
Of unmarked graves in Arlington.
No, freedom isn’t free.

Use this day to remember those who fought to keep you free…
